Title : ELECTRICAL PROCESS ENGINEER Job type : full time Industry: Manufacturing & Production Job Category: Manufacturing - Production Hiring an Electrical Process Engineer to help with electron beam melting in our ConsolidCompanyon Division. Electrical Process Engineers provide technical and manufacturing process support for identifying and eliminCompanyng sources of variCompanyon and for establishing standards, best practices, and performance metrics on the shop floor. This position will report to the Plant Engineering. The Engineer will be a master problem solver and lead processes that will ensure that we are achieving conformance and producing quality product that meets our customer requirements and COMPANY goals and objectives. Primary Responsibilities Resolve production, equipment, and systems problems, including technical support on root cause analysis and corrective actions. Establish standards for all aspects of electron beam refining, compaction, electron beam welding, and arc melting operCompanyons. Perform and/or coordinate risk assessments and abatement (RA&A), problem solving reports (PSR) & continuous improvement (CI) activities. Capital and Major Maintenance project support including capital funding request (CFR) generCompanyon, project management, primary technical support on new equipment used in process. Provide rough order of magnitude estimates for 5 year capital projects as well as preliminary project justificCompanyon. Establish standards for all aspects of a production and material flow processes. Establish performance metrics based on the best practice. Use the measurements to determine areas for improvement such as operator training, process supplies, material quality, equipment condition, and the process itself. Audit operCompanyons and processes for adherence to both internal and external customer requirements. Generate and implement process improvement plans. Act as technical resource in support of the Task StandardizCompanyon initiCompanyves at all levels of the manufacturing process. Develop and/or revise work instructions, Quality system documents, material specificCompanyons, and Standard Work Task Element documents. Basic QualificCompanyons Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with preference given to candidates with industrial manufacturing experience. At least 1 year of experience in an industrial, manufacturing or production environment. Preferences, Skills, Abilities Experience with electron beam technology, vacuum systems, high voltage electrical and power supply technology; The applicCompanyon of Continuous Improvement concepts, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques and principles to the production environment; The ability to be a strong leader in an industrial production environment, with the capacity to quickly learn, comprehend, and visualize a complex set of processes and their interactions and apply rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; An action-oriented and proven ability to work well in a team environment, possessing excellent people skills; Strong written and verbal communicCompanyon skills and effective time management skills; Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Basic programming skills and controls experience with systems such as Allen Bradley, Emerson Delta V, or equivalent.
