Title: Civil Litigation (Insurance Defense, NYS)Location: Cedar Grove, NJ or Manhattan, NY. Hybrid/Remote Optional. Please read on!Position Overview:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join our prestigious team. As an Insurance Defense Attorney at O'Toole Scrivo, LLC, you will handle a diverse range of complex cases for a variety of clients, including insurance carriers and self-insured entities. This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your legal career in a firm that values innovation, collaboration, and client-centered service.Responsibilities:Provide expert legal representation to insurance companies, self-insured businesses, and other clients in all aspects of insurance defense, including but certainly not limited to General Liability.Actively work a caseload of 30-40 cases.Develop case strategies, prepare legal arguments, and negotiate settlements in pursuit of favorable outcomes for our clients.Work closely with clients to provide legal counsel and develop strategies tailored to their business goals.Collaborate with a team of seasoned attorneys and legal professionals to solve complex legal challenges.Stay current on industry trends, laws, and regulations to provide timely, expert advice and guidance to clients.Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school.Active bar admission in NY 5+ years of experience in insurance defense, including handling litigation, claims management, and settlement negotiations.Experience with construction site accident/NYS Labor Law is a big plus!General liability experience in NY such as like auto or premises liability is a big plus!Offering: $140k-200k base Aggressive EOY bonus AND bonus for exceeding billable hoursPTO401kcomprehensive medical benefitsWe reward hard work and offer strong career growth/progression.
