We are currently hiring an Electrical Superintendent for our Bakersfield, CA industrial division.Key Responsibilities:Field Oversight & Site Support: Conduct daily visits to active job sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications, installation standards, and applicable codes. Support Site Supervisors, General Foremen, and Foremen with manpower, equipment, RFIs, FCOs, and other project-related needs.Manpower Planning & Coordination: Forecast, address, and resolve current and future manpower needs across all sites. Coordinate hall calls, onboard new workers, and manage manpower reductions in accordance with union rules. Maintain strong working relationships with union representatives (IBEW, UA460, UA220).Documentation & Reporting: Oversee collection of BEST, JSA, and Foreman Daily reports. Review internal manpower-related reports such as SDI Claims, Skilled Training, RSO, and Approved Drivers reports. Assist in communicating job progress to Project Managers, Division Managers, and other departments.Project Management Support: Participate in project meetings, assist with schedules, and review RFIs and change orders. Help evaluate project schedules and worker-hour requirements. Provide support for estimating, bid walks, and bid reviews as needed.Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop field personnel, especially Foremen and General Foremen. Promote best practices to drive productivity, quality, and safe work performance. Collaborate effectively with owners, engineers, technicians, and various trades while maintaining professional relationships.Issue Resolution & Risk Management: Identify and elevate potential project or personnel issues; assist in developing solutions. Ensure effective communication between job sites and management to mitigate risks and maintain operational continuity.Required Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: 10+ years of experience in directing crews and running projects.Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with company safety policies and OSHA standards.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Projects, including resource loading, Excel, Word, and Outlook.Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities.Preferred Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: A strong background in the petro-chemical industry. Work Environment: Safety Sensitive Position: Due to the safety sensitive nature of the role, the candidate must be able to pass initial and random drug screenings. Physical Conditions: Will frequently be required to stand; walk; and sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and drive to job sites.What We Offer: Salary: $68.00-$75.00 per hour (The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual hourly rate will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience).
