We are looking for someone to support the Director of Safety and the safety department in day-to-day operations, undertaking various safety and claims administrative duties led by management instruction and ensuring work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.Key Result Areas:Support the Director of Safety and safety department with duties related to safety and claims administration.Maintain safety programs/systems and records daily to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Essential Responsibilities:First line of contact for branch operations regarding any safety related issues.Coordinates with and assists branch management and other administrative personnel when incidents/accidents occur to ensure appropriate reporting and documentation is submitted in a timely manner.Schedules post-accident drug testing and processes any additional needed documentation.Attends Incident Reviews for record keeping and post-accident compliance.Provides documentation to Legal team and insurance adjusters for proper claims handling of worker's compensation and automobile claims.Update incident reporting system (CounselLink) with incident/claim status updates for worker's compensation and automobile claims.File insurance claims with third party administrator.Manage and follow-up on worker's compensation and automobile insurance claims.Effectively communicate with the legal department, safety director, and management regarding safety issues, worker's compensation claims, and auto claims.Monitors light duty assignments and progress updates for Restricted Duty Program.Facilitate new-hire Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Requests and update safety/Human Resources systems such as Dayforce, SambaSafety, JJ Keller etc.Assigns JJ Keller driving tests to new-hires and post-accident drivers, verify/approve Vehicle Policy completion in Dayforce, and notify insurance of new drivers and any terminations.Maintain driver records including monthly Driver's License checks, annual MVRs, DOT Clearinghouse annual queries, and Random Drug & Alcohol screening for CDL license holders.Collects and maintains required insurance documents for employees driving personal vehicles.Aid with safety programs with mid-month reporting, data collection for Site Inspections, Safety Rodeos, Safety Meetings, and other monthly assigned tasks or special-event safety challenges.Assist in yearly insurance audit processes.Provides results on monthly JJ Keller driving test completion, daily/weekly vehicle inspection reports, monthly incident reports, Claims monthly/YTD reports, and monthly Green Vest Training completion reports.Other safety administrative duties and special projects assigned.Requirements:At least one year of hands-on experience working in an administrative role or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Background in safety programs, insurance, and worker's compensation and auto claims handling preferred.Valid driver's license in good standing that meets company requirements.Ability to travel with an occasional overnight stay is preferred.Familiar with OSHA regulations and Worker's Compensation preferred.Requires solid written and verbal communication skills.Overall computer and mobile app literacy (Microsoft Office) is required.Familiar with various Safety management & organizational systems preferred.Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task.BenefitsThe well-being of our team members is important to us, and we want to ensure that you feel supported in your growth.
