Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer Job Description The Manufacturing Process Engineer supports new product launches and continuous improvement of manufacturing and service processes within a regulated medical device environment. This role focuses on process development, validation, automation, and optimization across manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities + Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing and service processes in collaboration with site and headquarters engineering teams. + Support new product introductions (NPI), process development, scale‑up, and sustainment activities. + Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for end‑to‑end manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, assembly, coating/curing, and electroacoustic testing. + Conduct bench testing and support troubleshooting of products, components, and processes. + Validate processes and support documentation per QMS and SOP requirements. + Create work instructions, layouts, and support service layout changes to improve efficiency. + Investigate and resolve process, material, and quality issues; support product release decisions. + Analyze manufacturing data, generate reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, KPIs). + Evaluate and implement automation, robotics, and new manufacturing technologies. + Lead or support engineering projects from concept through validation and implementation. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering function. + 2-4 years' experience in Process Engineering. + Knowledge in manufacturing processes, automation, and robotics. + Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP (or other ERP system). + Strong analytical and organizational skills. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
