Examples of Duties Operates a variety of heavy equipmentEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and policies of the City of AikenSafe operation of garbage truck, knuckle boom loader, sweeper, roll off truck, leaf vacuum and other heavy equipmentMaintains equipment in good operating conditionReports required maintenance as neededPrepares required documentation Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalentMinimum Commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B in good standingAbility to read maps and cope with outdoor weather conditionsWritten and verbal communication skillsPhysical capabilities of exiting and re-entry of equipment when necessaryAbility to retrieve full roll carts and roll them to the streetPrevious driving experience (preferred) Supplemental Information This position is subject to a criminal background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
