Job Summary: We're seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human capital at Texas Empowerment Academy. Our ideal candidate is an experienced leader who is passionate about building strong teams, ensuring compliance, and supporting a positive and effective organizational culture. In this role, you will oversee a broad scope of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration. You will work closely with school leadership to ensure that staffing needs are met with high-quality candidates and that all HR practices align with state, federal, and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, organizational expertise, and the ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of staff. * Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. * Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes. * Collaborate with school leadership to support staffing needs, organizational structure, and strategic planning. * Manage employee records, contracts, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Oversee benefits administration, compensation structures, and payroll coordination in partnership with finance. * Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, charter school requirements, and reporting obligations. * Lead onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization. * Support professional development initiatives and staff growth opportunities. * Monitor and improve HR systems, processes, and efficiencies. * Serve as a resource and advisor to staff and leadership on HR-related matters. * Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR-related responsibilities. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred). * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with demonstrated leadership experience. * Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements. * Experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * A commitment to supporting a positive organizational culture and staff success. Preferred Qualifications: * HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR). * Experience working in a school, charter school, or nonprofit organization. * Experience with HR systems, payroll platforms, and compliance reporting. * Knowledge of educator certification requirements and school-based HR practices. Compensation: * Starting competitive salary, commensurate with experience and education.
