Programming and Curriculum Overview The Keeneland College Ambassador Program compliments the academic calendar year, kicking off in August and concluding in May. Ambassadors will experience hands on and educational opportunities through diverse curriculum and programming throughout the year. Race Meet During Keeneland's Spring and Fall race meets, Ambassadors assist the Community Relations team with onsite promotional activations that may include: College Scholarship Day, Make-A-Wish Day, Heroes Day, Kids Club Family Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, Jockey Autograph Signing, Derby Day and a variety of other events. Assist in the promotion and execution of College Scholarship Day presented by Lane's End for both Fall and Spring Race Meets. Community Events Ambassadors assist the Community Relations team with executing community events including Kids Club Events and other community activations. September Yearling Sale and November Breeding Stock Sale Keeneland is the world's largest Thoroughbred auction house. Ambassadors are invited to participate in behind-the-scenes experiences from the Keeneland side of operations and hospitality during the annual Sales. Educational Programming Keeneland is at the heart of the Thoroughbred industry, and Keeneland ambassadors have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational, interactive and career development opportunities throughout the year. Opportunities are behind-the-scenes experiences during racing, one-on-one shadowing with a variety of departments, community partner panels, tours and more! Commitment of participation for one academic calendar year Ambassadors must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate college student with at least one full year of study completed.
