We are looking for a team-oriented Yard Hostler - to add to our NIGHT shift crew.Benefits include:MedicalDentalVisionLifePaid vacation401KProfit SharingJob Summary: The Yard Hostler is responsible for moving trailers in and out of specific locations using a yard goat.Duties/Responsibilities:Move containers and chassis to ensure proper and safe accessAssist drivers with containers they are not able access with their trucksAssist warehouse with containers they need moved from or to the dockWorking hand in hand with mechanic to bring equipment that needs repair or BIT inspectionsEnsuring trash cans are properly emptied into the big trash Bin.Ensuring that we use the magnet roller to pick up metal that might puncture/damage tires.Ensure cleanliness of the yard is maintainedNo oil, tire, mechanical dumping in the yardReport any unsafe act or conduct in the yard to Nelson.Dragging containersStealing light/equipmentDamaging property of otherUnsafe driving in the yardReport any repairs that the Yard truck might need ASAP.Other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Good organizational skillsClass A drivers license (preferred)Education and Experience:Preferred experiencePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to constant movement going up and down from the Yard truck
