Posting DetailsPosting Details Business Title Director, Residence Life Posting Category Administrative and Professional Salary Grade 08 Salary Plan Professional Non Bargaining Hiring Range /Pay RateDepartment Residence Life Department DescriptionPosition Location Main Campus FTE 1.0 Job Summary Leads residential education operations, including the implementation of proactive strategies to promote student holistic well-being, academic success, and community development. Responsible for representing Residence Life through partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Champions student success through communication initiatives, leadership opportunities, and crisis management. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, counseling, business management, or related field.Five (5) years of experience in residence life and housing program management, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.Ability to work varied hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.Valid driver's license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, preferably in education, counseling, business management, or related field.Experience in higher education, especially regarding residence life and housing program managementExperience in student programming or advising.Experience using residence life software and systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.Strong public speaking skills.Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence, and persuasion.Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.Requisition Number PT0703796S Date grant, position, or appointment expires (For Funds Available, Temporary, and Waiver of PostingSpecial Instructions to ApplicantsApplicant Instructions Offer of employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or University policies or practices, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
