Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a vital role in developing and standardizing CNC machining processes for both new and existing products. You will be instrumental in designing and optimizing tooling and fixturing methods to improve quality, throughput, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities + Develop, document, and standardize CNC machining processes for new and existing products. + Design and optimize tooling, fixturing, and machining methods to improve quality, throughput, and cost. + Lead process development and validation activities including APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and PPAPs. + Support new product launches, including machine prove-outs and production ramp-ups. + Apply GD&T and drawing interpretation to establish robust, repeatable processes. + Utilize SPC and data analysis to monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement. + Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve process, tooling, and equipment issues. + Create and maintain work instructions, routings, and technical documentation. + Train operators and technicians on process standards, SPC, and problem-solving methods. + Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and environmental requirements. Essential Skills + Manufacturing engineering and process improvement expertise. + Experience working in CNC machining environments. + Metals manufacturing and precision machining knowledge with tight tolerances. + PFMEA development and experience with CAD/CAM. + Familiarity with the automotive industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical experience in lieu of a degree). + 2+ years of experience in a CNC machining manufacturing environment. + Strong working knowledge of CNC lathes, screw machines, and/or precision grinding processes. + Experience with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, and root cause analysis. + Ability to read and apply GD&T on complex mechanical drawings. + Hands-on, shop-floor-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Work Environment This role is set in a high precision CNC machining environment known for its tight tolerances. The facility is large, well-organized, and clean, offering a great work atmosphere. With a history of high volume and precision projects, the company is currently diversifying into lower volume and mid-precision projects. The plant is equipped with new capital equipment installed over the last 5 to 10 years, reflecting a continuous investment in enhancing internal capabilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
