With a strong Christian heritage, we serve as both a ministry and a mission field, offering opportunities to introduce students to Jesus and nurture their faith. Our campus serves more than 900 students from PK2 through 12th grade, and we are committed to integrating Christ into every aspect of student life-from the classroom and choir hall to the athletic field and beyond.MDCA&CH is searching for a Head of School who is a dedicated follower of Jesus and passionate about creating an educational environment centered on active learning and classroom excellence. This leader will help shape an exceptional student experience while fostering a culture of collaboration, encouragement, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a visionary with a "what if" mindset, someone who builds strong teams, supports faculty and staff, and leads with wisdom and humility. food servicesHead of School Reports to PresidentJob DescriptionAcademicsServe as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)Ensure a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum aligned to appropriate standards and biblically integrated across all levels of the schoolMaintain school data storageRegularly analyze data to monitor progress and plan for improvementOversee the selection of the student information system and learning management systemEnsure all applicable laws and accreditation standards are upheld in the issuance of grades, transcripts, and diplomasMaintain good relationships with colleges and universities and oversee all articulation agreementsRecruit and hire qualified school faculty and staffEnsure an effective and efficient integration process for new teachers and mentoring for inexperienced teachersOversee the evaluation of faculty and school staffResearch and identify appropriate professional development opportunities for faculty training and growthMonitor teacher credentialingDirect all activities related to the accreditation process (Cognia, NCSA, FCIS)Oversee and implement a robust school improvement planOversee the structure and delivery of student support servicesCommunicate regularly with all stakeholdersEngage community partners in the academic programs of the schoolOversee the school travel programEnsure the appearance of the school and all within is conducive to learning and reflects a commitment to professionalismWork with the executive board of the Patron-Teacher AssociationEnrollment Management Oversee and serve as a part of the admission committeeProvide input on the annual tuition structure, including financial aid and scholarship programsTake a visible role in student recruitment and retention effortsCollect, manage, and distribute enrollment dataMarketing Work closely with the senior director of marketing and communications to market the school to prospective familiesWork closely with the senior director of marketing and communications to market the school to current families in the interest of retentionWork to ensure faculty and staff are aware of and following social media and branding guidelinesOversee the planning and execution of special eventsSupport Services and Academic Success Center Oversee student academic support servicesOversee student services related to social and emotional needsOversee student college and career planningOversee the media center and associated servicesAthletics Ensure adequate resources are available to sustain a robust, competitive athletic program while working within the budgetSupport the senior director of athletics with adequate coverage for athletic contestsSupport the senior director of athletics to train and hold accountable all coaches and student-athletesVisibly support and encourage athletic eventsInformation Technology Oversee the technology planSupport the director of information technology to secure needed resources while working within the budgetSchool Health ServicesSupport the school nurses to ensure all health services are provided in a way that is in conformity with all state and local regulationsSupport the school nurses to secure resources while working within the budgetEnsure sufficient AED devices are placed throughout the campus and operableFood ServicesSupport the food services supervisor to ensure adequate, appealing, and nutritious meals are available to students, faculty, and staff dailySupport the food services supervisor to secure resources while working within the budgetSchool Security Works alongside the vice president of finance and operations as the point of contact for maintaining the Raptor Alert appEnsure sufficient emergency drills are conducted in accordance with state and local lawsCo-coordinates the emergency reunification planSupport the director of security to secure resources while working within the budgetStay abreast of current research and legislation related to
