Candidates should explore innovative approaches to enhance student learning and provide high quality instruction so that each student may meet course expectations. Successful candidates will be responsible for effectively preparing, teaching, grading, and assessing student learning and collaborating with their coordinator, Dean, and colleagues to improve the student learning experience. Ability to support the Prairie State College general education learning outcome areas of Communication, Creative Thinking, Cultural Understanding, Information Literacy, and Problem Solving.Preferred Qualifications 1. Master's Degree in Mathematics or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate level mathematics courses2. Experience teaching developmental and college level math courses.3. Teaching experience at the collegiate level, ideally at a community college.4. Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds5.
