Opportunity DetailsFull Time Competency & Training Specialist Competency and Training SpecialistJOB-10046141Anticipated Start DateApril 6, 2026 LocationHouston, TX Type of EmploymentContract Employer InfoOur client specializes in the engineering and fabrication of rig systems, wellbore technologies, and completion and production solutions Job SummaryManage and administer competence activities, including staff communication, liaison with internal and external personnel, software control, and accurate record keeping, to monitor the effectiveness of activities Job Description Ensure competency records are created and maintained in accordance with legislative requirements Review and update competency materials in line with the needs of the business Maintain and develop the Competency System for the organization Monitor the deadlines and phases of the Competency System Act as Assessor and/or Verifier Monitor, record, and analyze the effectiveness of competency training programs Perform other work-related tasks as assigned Comply with all Client Company and HSE policies and procedures FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide logistical and administrative support for all trainers Perform other work-related tasks as assigned Comply with all Client Company and HSE policies and procedures Manage training operations and development Skills Required 50/50 split between data analysis and coaching/explaining insights to management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly adaptable; able to quickly learn new technologies and data processes, and assist management as needed Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPS and PivotTables Professional demeanor and a strong team player, comfortable working in a small, collaborative team Ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently enforced and adhered to Continually evaluate the group's processes and methods to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment Provide daily supervision of employee job execution, including training, performance evaluation, and employee relations Liaiase with customers and internal Client departments to define and arrange training requirements and schedules Behavioral Competencies Learning on the fly Decision quality Problem solving Priority setting Time management Self-development Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check Domestic travel (CA, TX, LA). May be required based on business demand Work Hours Mon to Fri 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. No OT.
