Job Type Full-timeDescriptionECBuild is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team in Baltimore.The Senior Estimator is responsible for preconstruction phase estimating and planning services associated with Construction Management at Risk delivery methods. The Preconstruction Estimator works directly with the Preconstruction Manager, Owner, Design Team and the Operations Team. This position develops construction cost models and estimates throughout all phases of design as well as schedule and logistics plans to support the overall preconstruction effort. The Preconstruction estimator will closely coordinate these services with the construction operations team.Essential Functions:Quantity take off in 2D and 3D applicationsAnalyze plans and specifications to understand labor, material, and equipment costs in order to prepare professional and accurate cost estimates in the schematic, design development, and construction document phases of designUnderstand and develop unit costs accuratelyPromote customer relations with Owner and Design TeamDevelop and maintain relationships with subcontractorsSolid market knowledge and market pricingSolicit subcontractor pricing and verify scope of workCreate appropriate bid packaging/scopes of work that align with the projectAssist Business Development with preparation of technical proposals as well as preparation and delivery of oral presentationsPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science or related fieldMinimum of 5 years construction estimating/preconstruction experienceExcellent time management skills and a high attention to detailExperience with Costx, mc2, Pro Contractor Navisworks Manage, BIM, Pro Contractor or similar computerized estimating software, PDF Mark-up, I-sf, and Primavera (P6), or similar applications.Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, ExcelProficient with BluebeamFlexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locationsAbility to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groupsPreferred Education and Experience:Project Types: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP and Commercial Experience is a plusAdditional Eligibility/Qualifications:Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening
