Engineer

Our mine services group is seeking a full-time Engineer for our Northwood, OH branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to: Perform 2D and 3D designs in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor Collaborate with others (managers, designers, field techs, customer, drafters, administration) Develop designs, including specification and calculations to document compliance with project and code requirements Performs a variety of engineering calculations, for foundations, reinforce concrete structure and components, structural steel frames and other similar concrete and steel structural components and systems Generates fully compliant civil/structural drawing for layouts, building sections/plans/details, foundation details, steelwork details and architectural feature design Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications, including supervision of engineers and designers in document development Provides technical expertise and guidance to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager Qualifications Civil engineer with structural major p.e. Applicants must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines Should be comfortable visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders Proficient in Structural Design (Conveyors, structural towers and foundation work are a plus) Drafting of infrastructure, based of field measurements, or provided drawings, while meeting time and budget constraints
