Job Type Full-timeDescriptionHVAC Service Technician -Cleveland, OHHeart of Ohio Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical is seeking experienced Residential and Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Sales) to join our growing team. Join a team that truly cares and take your career to the next level.ResponsibilitiesMeet with commercial customers to evaluate HVAC system condition, performance, and needsInstall, maintain, and repair Residential and Commercial HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency Identify opportunities for repairs, replacements, upgrades, and maintenance agreements Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with refrigeration and air conditioning units Read, interpret, and apply schematics, blueprints, and technical documents for accurate service and installation Provide professional and courteous customer service, clearly communicating system status and maintenance recommendations Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations Maintain accurate service records and documentationRequirementsRequirements & QualificationsProficiency in Residential Service and Commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems Prior experience as an HVAC service technician (residential, install, commercial or SALES experience preferred) Strong understanding of HVAC design, schematics, and technical troubleshootingPresent clear recommendations and options in a professional, consultative wayBuild estimates and proposals using accurate job scope, equipment specs, and jobsite requirementsAbility to explain technical information clearly to non-technical customersProven ability (or strong desire) to work in a sales-driven, customer-facing roleFollow up with customers, answer questions, and help close work ethically and confidentlyMaintain accurate notes, documentation, and customer recordsRepresent the company with professionalism and strong customer serviceSolid mechanical aptitude and field experienceFamiliarity with refrigeration and HVAC/R systems (ammonia experience is a plus) Familiarity with plumbing systems and basic appliance repair Solid mechanical aptitude and field service experience Ability to perform equipment repair, maintenance, and diagnostics using standard tools (including ohmmeters) Valid driver's license with experience driving service vans Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R systems is a plus Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check, MVR, and drug test Must maintain an insurable driving record for operation of company vehiclesBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company participation Life insurance Competitive pay and career growth opportunities Supportive work environment that prioritizes safety and teamworkEmployees must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a background, motor vehicle check and drug screening.
