Audio Visual Lead Technician

Job DescriptionCome join a 50-year-old integration firm that is the go-to provider for some of the most prestigious museums in the United States, with projects located primarily in the greater Washington, D.C., Texas, and New York City areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Lead AV Technician to support the fabrication and installation of highly customized museum experiences.This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, coordinating workflow both in the shop and on job sites, maintaining communication with the Management Team, and completing assigned documentation and tasks.RequirementsQualifications:Hands-on fabrication and/or installation of complex audiovisual systemsWillingness to work daily in Washington, D.C. or Lorton, VA, and travel as needed for remote sitesMounting of projectors, video monitors, and speakersClear and effective communication with project teams and clientsReading and interpreting construction drawingsCoordinating multiple team members in a fast-paced environmentTroubleshooting complex AV, IT, electrical, and mechanical exhibit systemsApplying working knowledge of basic IT principles and protocolsWorking with basic PC hardware and operating systemsCollaborating as a team-oriented professionalUtilizing Microsoft Office 365Applying entry-level project management and coordination skillsDemonstrating working knowledge of electronic theoryFollowing OSHA safety guidelinesUsing entry-level CAD or Visio toolsSafely lifting up to 75 lbsWorking at heights exceeding 35 feetGuiding and mentoring junior team membersMaintaining records and drawings for as-built documentationSelf-managing time, priorities, and deadlinesPreferredCTS, or CTS-I certification preferredOSHA certificationsQSC Qsys level I or II certifications preferredMedialon, Pandora's Box, AMX or Crestron certifications preferredJava, Python or C+ experienceWorking knowledge of PLC's, Relays, or Ladder LogicExperience in configuring Brightsign or other delivery devicesExperience with QSC, Extron, Cisco, Juniper, and Zeevee highly preferred
