Manufacturing Technician (General Helper)Department: ManufacturingEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Boulder CountyCompensation: $25.00 - $30.00 / hourDescriptionAs a Manufacturing Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of high-reliability Aerospace components and related fluid components used in spaceflight hardware. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while developing technical skills, process discipline, and an understanding of quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the assembly, disassembly, and installation of aerospace components, subassemblies, and systems Perform precision fitting, torquing, sealing, and alignment of componentsClean, prep, and handle parts in accordance with aerospace cleanliness standardsIdentify, document, and communicate non-conformances or build issuesAccurately complete build records, travelers, and quality documentationWork closely with engineers, quality, and test teams to resolve build issuesAssist with testing, troubleshooting, and rework of hardware under supervisionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaSupport hardware rework, process efficiency, quality, and reliabilitySupport assembly and installation of equipment in facility Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience (aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or similar high-reliability industries)Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructionsProficiency with hand tools, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic measurement equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyPreferred Skills and Experience2+ years of demonstrated mechanical assembly experience; specifically on aerospace-grade hardwareStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to read basic technical drawings and follow detailed instructionsBasic hand-tool experienceWillingness to accept feedback and learn from experienced techniciansAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdditional Information:Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
