Mechanical Engineer- Energy

We are currently hiring a mid-level Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division - Energy team. LaBella's Energy team provides comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy, including feasibility analyzes, design, and commissioning services. Our engineers are well-versed in all aspects of building and energy systems design relating to a variety of new construction, renovations, and design/build projects for a variety of clientele. The Mechanical Engineer will work with our engineers in a lead role on a variety of decarbonization/electrification projects to develop projects in feasibility stages all the way through design and construction. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with clients. Duties * Lead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systems * Field investigations to document existing conditions * Selection and calculations for design purposes * Work with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentation * Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process. * Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements
