This role requires advanced technical skills, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and proven expertise in safely completing complex installations on time and to specification. We value safety, quality, and teamwork in every project we deliver.A Day in the LifeAs an Installation Journeyman I, you oversee and execute the installation of signs of various sizes and complexities. Your day may include reviewing project plans, operating cranes and lifts, welding components, rigging and securing signs, and directing other crew members on-site. You will travel to multiple job sites, work closely with project managers, and ensure that each installation meets YESCO's safety, quality, and customer service standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications before installationOperate cranes, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment to position and secure signsPerform welding tasks (preferably 3G-SMAW and 5F-FCAW) to assemble sign structuresRig and safely lift signs into position using proper load-handling techniquesDirect helpers and apprentices during installation workLoad, transport, and unload sign components and equipmentFollow all company and industry safety regulationsCommunicate effectively with project managers, customers, and other team membersComplete all required project documentationPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management, as needed to meet business needsRequirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 5 years of sign installation or closely related construction experienceValid CDL Class A or BNCCCO Crane CertificationWelding certification (preferably 3G-SMAW and 5F-FCAW)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsSkilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and welding equipmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to direct crew membersComfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditionsReliable attendance and willingness to travel as neededAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsClimb, crawl, bend, and work at heightsStand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in various environmentsUse of hands and arms for reaching, handling, and operating toolsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of tasks as neededCompliance StatementYESCO is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
