We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond.JOB SUMMARYBanquet Servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome and comfortable.SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:Currently looking for full-time with shifts varying in length based upon business needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS Operational Responsibilities Contribute positively to the team within the department Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor Ensure all side-work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers is completed. Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs Guest Services Prepare for any/all guest with request Inform of any special request or special instructions to staff Assist with special events as needed Team Support and Training Participate in on-going training. Communication and Reporting Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Safety & Compliance Comply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management or supervisors. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently BASICS Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas Display courteous behavior with guests and team members Report any unsafe conditions immediately Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisorPhysical Requirements Sitting: Occasionally. Sitting in a backed chair when doing paperwork Standing/Walking: Frequently. Walking up to three miles per day on cement, asphalt, tile, and carpet. Crouching (Bend at knees): Occasionally. Inspecting rooms. Handling /Grasping: Frequently. Performing inventories and handling documents. Climbing: Frequently. Climb stairs. Reaching (Overhead/extension): Occasionally. Inspecting rooms. Pushing/Pulling: Average weight occasionally 10 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 30 lbs. Lifting/Carrying: Average weight frequently 10 lbs. Maximum weight occasionally 50 lbs.Working Environment Interior: All interior areas of the hotel. Exterior: Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions. Exposure to hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Hotel Operations or Customer Service preferred Communicate effectively with others Previous serving experience required Excellent oral communication skills required Positive interpersonal skills required Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English Food Handlers Certification and TABC CertificateESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
