Job Description

Purpose of the Position The Beverage Manager supports the Vice President of Beverage Operations by leading the execution, consistency, training, and field implementation of the company's beverage programs across all restaurants. This role serves as the primary infield leader for beverage systems, standards, and education, ensuring that strategy developed at the executive level is consistently and successfully executed at the restaurant level. The Beverage Manager is highly visible in restaurants, deeply operational, data-informed, and serves as a key liaison between the Support Center and Operations teams. General Responsibilities Field Execution & Restaurant Audits * Execute regular restaurant visits to conduct comprehensive bar audits, including: * Beverage system execution * Recipe adherence and spec accuracy * Cleanliness and organization standards * Beverage ticket timing and workflow * Server and bartender continued education * Provide in-the-moment coaching to bartenders, bar managers, and service teams * Deliver written post-visit analysis and recommendations to the VP of Beverage Operations, Regional Managers, and SVP of Operations * Track recurring opportunities and trends across locations and markets Program Execution & Strategy Support * Work closely with the VP of Beverage Operations to carry out: * Beverage LTOs and promotions * Beverage sales-driving initiatives * Beverage contest tracking/updates * Cost control strategies and margin-focused execution * Ongoing beverage education and training initiatives * Support consistent rollout and execution of beverage strategy across all locations * Act as an operational translator between strategy and execution Rotating Beer Oversight * Manage the Beer Entry approval process for Eureka! * Analyze rotating beer selections for alignment with brand standards, pricing, performance, and guest demand * Approve or deny beer entries based on established criteria and direction from the VP of Beverage Operations * Monitor rotating beer performance and provide recommendations for optimization through the Untappd Audit report each month. Training, Education & Documentation * Assist with updating and maintaining: * Beverage training materials * Operational manuals and Master Bar documentation * LMS content related to beverage rollouts and ongoing education * Support the Training team with beverage-related content and execution standards * Deliver hands-on training during restaurant visits and special initiatives New Restaurant Openings & Rollouts * Assist with pre-opening preparation including: * Beverage-related NRO materials * Travel Trainer travel coordination and execution * Pre-opening communications and readiness * Support bar setup, menu readiness, training execution, and opening standards * Ensure beverage systems are launch-ready and aligned with brand expectations Testing, Rollouts & Change Management * Create collateral to support beverage testing, implementation, and change control processes * Assist in coordinating beverage tests, pilots, and phased rollouts * Support communication of changes, learnings, and next steps throughout the organization * Help ensure test integrity and consistent execution across participating locations Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination * Assist in coordinating and communicating beverage initiatives between: * Support Center teams * Operations leadership * Restaurant management teams * Support communications through EDC Today, Focus Points, and Eureka Ops messaging * Coordinate and respond to restaurant requests related to beverage programs, tests, and rollouts * Serve as a point of contact for field questions regarding beverage standards and execution Data Awareness & Continuous Improvement * Review beverage performance data with VP of Beverage to identify execution gaps and training needs * Share insights and field feedback with the VP of Beverage Operations * Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on sales, efficiency, and guest experience Core Competencies * Operational excellence and attention to detail * Strong teaching and coaching ability * Cross-functional collaboration * Systems thinking and process discipline * Hospitality-first mindset * Strategic restaurant operations: Contribute accurate information and thoughtful recommendations to the company's strategic plan through daily dialog and at formal reviews with colleagues and superiors; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements; implement change. * Litigation control: Avoid legal challenges by conforming to Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) regulations; federal, state, county and city codes, laws and regulations; and landlord lease requirements. * Safety/Sanitary standards: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with all safety/sanitary legal regulations; develop and implement disaster plans; maintain security and sprinkler systems; maintain parking lot, walkways and exits. * Ambiance control: Maintain restaurant ambiance by controlling restaurant lights, light dimmers, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service. Position requires occasional travel that may consist of driving and/or airplane flights for a period of one or more days therein requiring one or more overnight stays; notice of travel may be given with very short notice. Position requires occasional training that may take place on or off-site, by phone and/or online. Qualifications * At least 21 years of age * Previous experience as a hospitality server, bartender or lead. * Four-year college degree in a related field (preferred) * 5+ years of beverage leadership experience in a multi-unit restaurant environment preferred * Strong operational knowledge of beer, spirits, wine, and cocktail execution * Experience with bar audits, training delivery, and field leadership * Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills * Ability to travel regularly and work nights/weekends as needed
