This role requires a highly self-sufficient, results-driven sales professional with strong technical knowledge of precision measurement and metrology. The position involves leading technical sales conversations, expanding customer relationships, and independently driving revenue growth across industries including defense, medical, and automotive manufacturing.What You'll DoGenerate and manage sales within the assigned Chicago-to-Dakotas territoryCultivate and expand customer relationships using technical knowledge of precision measurement and metrology solutionsIndependently drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting through closeConduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training for customers and partnersServe as the primary point of contact for technical product inquiries and application discussionsDevelop regional sales strategies aligned with national sales objectivesOrganize and participate in trade shows, product demonstrations, and sales eventsMaintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions in CRM softwarePrepare proposals, quotations, and bidsQualificationsRequired:Ability to travel 75-100% within the assigned regionHigh School diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of sales experience with a strong technical background in precision measurement, dimensional metrology, or related industriesExperience using measurement/metrology industry terminology in technical sales conversationsProven ability to independently develop customer relationships and lead complex sales discussionsStrong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex product features and applicationsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsProficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPreferred:Bachelor's degreeCAD experienceExperience selling into defense, medical, or automotive manufacturing industriesReports To: National Sales ManagerWorks Closely With: Field Service Engineers, Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales Teams
