Job Description:This position is responsible for the overall installation, general programming and testing multiple residential and commercial security systems to include but not limited to fire alarm systems, intrusion alarms, access control systems, CCTV, data networks, and other low voltage electronics. This position offers an hourly wage based on a 40-hour work week schedule. It is understood that some overtime, evening, and weekend work may be required based on the demand.Scope of work:Travels to local shop or directly to jobsites dailyCommunicates with onsite technicians to plan and complete tasksWorks on assigned projects with the Field Tech Supervisors, Sales Representatives, and Installation ManagerEnsures all work assignments are successfully implemented and maintained to company standards to include technical expertise, equipment installation, customer service, customer orientation and trainingEncourages team members to ask questions and makes suggestions to improve department and overall company performanceFollows all company policies and proceduresCompletes off the job trainings and certifications to stay current with vendor requirements and industry standardsIndependently completes service work to company standardsDemonstrates competency and understanding of the installation, programming and operations of all technology and systems installedUnderstands advanced network IP configurationsReads and comprehends blueprints, drawings, and scopes of work required to properly install all equipment and servicesPerforms commercial fire alarm inspections with the authority having jurisdictionMakes low-voltage electrical connections, tests and verifies proper operations of electronic equipmentPrior to the installation date, evaluates information furnished for the job, obtains correct material and equipment needed to successfully complete the jobFollows all OSHA standards Requirements:High school diploma or equivalency required; associate degree preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in the low-voltage security industryExperience with customer service and working with technicians and office team personnelUnderstands how the security industry worksAbility to make sound judgement with decisions which benefit the customer and companyTroubleshoots electronic devices, prioritizes installation team responsibilities, leads Field Tech I technicians on-site, and communicates effectivelyOvernight travel may be required on an as-need basisMaintains a positive attitude while taking pride in your workMust be able to work in various environmental conditionsMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to work in confined spaces and on ladders and lifts at various heightsMust possess a valid PA driver's licenseMust be able to pass a drug and alcohol test• Leadership:Leads technicians towards growth and success within the company by being an expressive example of proper work ethics and following company standards and expectations.2 Krew provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
