Foley & Mansfield, a professional limited liability partnership, is a national law firm with more than 110 attorneys in offices from coast to coast. We provide legal expertise, creative solutions and extensive trial experience for large corporations, small businesses, and individuals. We have an opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Chicago office. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized and possesses the ability to effectively prioritize. Responsibilities include:Responsible for all aspects of cases assigned from initial intake to trialResponsible for retaining, providing information, scheduling calls and testimony, and maintaining relationships with expertsMaintaining client extranet and various databases with pertinent informationReceiving and processing documents and entering information into Case Management System as well as naming, saving and filing in the firm's electronic repositoryReview and summarize discovery in each case, including but not limited to, medical, military, and employment records. Assist with preparing motions and exhibitsManage trial related documents and exhibits; specifically, preparing Trial Notebooks and document productions as neededAttend trials and support trial team as neededBill time for work completed dailyOther duties as assignedQualifications • At least three years of litigation paralegal experience • Asbestos, Toxic Tort, Products Liability, or Personal Injury experience preferred • Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle large volume of work • Ability to attend trials, both locally and nationally • Experience with trial war room and trial support a plus • Excellent communication skills a must • Knowledge of medical terms or experience in the medical field a plus • This is a hybrid position, with 1 in office day per week.In return for your talents, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes flexible benefits for healthcare/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), professional development and training, generous PTO and paid holidays, mental health benefit, and more.We encourage all qualified candidates to submit your resume and salary requirements for consideration.Foley & Mansfield believes that diversity and inclusion among our employees, staff, applicants and candidates is critical to our success as a national firm, and we seek to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
