Estimator - Commercial Construction

Overview:We are seeking an experienced TI Estimator to join our team. Our company works on tenant interior renovations, retail, industrial, building additions, and new base building projects. This is a full-time, salaried position in Alexandria, VA with benefits, bonus potential, and advancement.Key Responsibilities:Review of RFP, Drawings and all information provided by the clientSet up bid files and coordinate subcontractor selection with PM team.Send out bid invite to subcontractors through Procore.Contact subcontractors and confirm intent to bid.Attend pre-bid job site walkthroughs.Perform takeoffs and scope of work for all divisions.Complete RFI list and submit to owner / architect for clarifications.Evaluate and level all subcontractor bids.Coordinate with the PM team to develop the project schedule.Lead final bid review with PM team and company management.Submit bid and follow-up with client on status of project award. Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years experience in commercial estimating.Ability to navigate specifications and plans.Ability to complete multiple assignments at once.Experience working with subcontractors to ensure undefined costs are captured.Experience with subcontract solicitations and the quote comparison processExperience with leading and directing meetings, both internal & externalAbility to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.Fluency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, Project & Procore.
