HSE ManagerWe are searching for an experienced HSE Manager at our Plant 45-Seagoville-TX facility. Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for an HSE Manager at our manufacturing facility located in Seagoville, TX.Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Employing state-of-the-art robotics, precision welding equipment, and automated machining processes, Dexter has achieved many years of success through a commitment to the principles of superior quality, continuous improvement, and unparalleled customer service.For more information about our company, access Dexter's web site at .The Plant HSE Manager provides leadership and coordination of activities related to the company's health, safety, and environmental program, including performance of the following essential duties:Developing and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures that will ensure all associates are in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.Developing and implementing a program to reduce occupational injuries and illnesses, including area assessments, injury investigations and clear, measurable goals.Correcting working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and safety standards, develops loss control programs, and devises methods to evaluate safety progress.Establishing, implementing, and maintaining all Environmental and Safety Management systems in accordance with ISO 14001/ISO 18001, reporting to top management on performance, and recommend improvements.Serving as the interface between local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, corporate and any insurance carrier representatives in order to ensure plant compliance.Managing plant's environmental and OSHA regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements.Creating and managing budgets for HSE activities including consulting and testing, waste removal, safety equipment, safety recognition activities, etc.Leading investigations on environmental non-compliance, safety non-compliance, and root cause incidents and provide urgent response to operational issues.Leading implementations and use of team implemented problem solving.Conducting site audits and evaluatingplant's compliance with environmental regulations and identify areas of improvements.Implementing environmental solutions and drive changes in manufacturing processes/systems that lead to reduction in environmental waste streams.Managing worker's compensation claims.Leading safety, HSE, and awareness program trainings.Performing other tasks, duties or special projects as directed.Health and Safety expertise:Behavior based safety programmingChemical hazard communicationContractor safetyConfined space entryElectrical safetyEmergency response planningErgonomicsFall protectionHazardous energy control - Lock Out/Tag OutHearing conservationIncident investigationIndoor air quality/industrial hygieneInjury reporting and analysisJob hazard analysis and risk assessmentsMachine guardingPersonal protective equipmentPowered industrial vehiclesSafety programs and awareness and OSHA complianceEnvironmental Expertise:Sustainable processes/recyclingSolid and hazardous waste managementWastewater and storm water management, permitting, compliance, and controlsAir emission management, permitting, compliance, and controlsPollution prevention and resource conservationQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or a comparable degree is requiredMinimum 5 years of HSE experience in industry is requiredDexter is driven by our core values committed to Safety, Quality and Integrity:Execute with Determination - Be curious, work together, break new ground, find solutions, fulfill our commitments, surpass expectations!Connect with People - Empower employees to grow, engage and collaborate; build lasting customer partnerships; care for our communities.Do the Right Thing - For our people, for our customers, and for the business.
