Job Description

The accomplished and highly driven Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections Leader will be responsible for managing the comprehensive end-to-end collections process. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in improving cash flow, reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and optimizing collection strategies. This position requires strong analytical abilities, a process-focused mindset, and demonstrated expertise in coaching a team of 8-10 associates toward operational excellence. The individual will collaborate closely with Sales, Program Directors, Billing, and Finance team members to strengthen working capital performance and deliver a world-class and exceptional customer experience. **Responsibilities:** + **Leadership & Team Management** + Lead, mentor, and develop the AR collections team. Provide coaching and training sessions to improve note taking skills and + Build a high-performing culture focused on efficiency, accuracy, and customer-centric communication. + Own the vision for the end-to-end process. Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging data and technology. + **Collections** + Oversee daily operations of collections, including prioritizing aging accounts and establishing escalation protocols. + Prepare monthly cash forecast for working capital budget. + Collaborate with internal partners to resolve billing disputes and ensure timely payment resolution. + Supporting team members with escalations and collections strategy for complex situations. + **Process & Controls** + Enhance AR processes, automation, and internal controls to reduce errors and improve throughput. + Own the AR aging report, DSO tracking, and weekly cash forecast inputs. + Implement best practices for dispute resolution, customer outreach, and payment arrangements. + **Cross Functional Collaboration** + Partner with Sales, Program management, and Billing operations to develop proactive approaches to payment performance. + Work closely with Billing to prevent recurring issues impacting timely collections. + Align with FP&A and Treasury on cash planning and receivables reporting. + **Reporting & Analytics** + Maintain KPI dashboard and leverage data (aging, DSO, risk, forecasting accuracy) to monitor quality, and operational effectiveness of the team's activities + Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership with clear metrics and action plans. Prepare monthly presentation to Controller on status of AR and escalate issues as needed. + Ensure aging is complete with collector notes, issues are correctly flagged, escalations are occurring on a timely basis, and issues are resolved quickly. + Identify root causes of late payments and drive corrective initiatives. **Skills & Qualifications:** + Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. + Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. + Strong analytical mindset with experience using KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools. + Spanish is an asset. + Education & Experience Requirements + 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit & Collections, or Order-to-Cash leadership roles, with minimum 3 years' managerial experience. + Proven experience leading and developing high-performing AR/collections teams. + Process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, automation tools) is an asset. + Strong understanding of AR systems (e.g., ERP, billing platforms, CRM). **Wage Range** : The annual starting salary for this position is between **$90,000-120,000** annually.
