Job DescriptionOur client is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer. Summary: The Mechanical Project Engineer will provide support and guidance on projects of high-quality industrial projects such as: chemical, pulp/paper, F&B, water/wastewater, and power and chemical plants. Job Duties: Interfacing directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations. Working with technical teams to generate proposals and project estimates. Ensure projects maintain scope schedule. Ensure projects stay within budget. Review equipment specifications. Tracking project financials, schedules, status, and change management. Ensuring completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards. Creating project plans that include schedules, milestones, controls, and risk management plans. Supporting safety planning for teams. Resolving performance, scope, and schedule issues as they arise. Building business relationships with current and potential clients. Seeking continuous improvement opportunities to positively impact project and team performance.Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but may consider non-degreed candidates with ample experience 5-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably from a consulting engineering background in industrial projects - such as chemical or pulp and paper (may take less) Some proposal management experience would be beneficial Ability to prepare technical memorandums/study reports to justify a decision/action forward Experience using Microsoft Project would be an asset Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for selecting an economic course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions, based on available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences Preferred: EIT OR PE License is strongly preferred Plant 3D is preferred (will not have to design - just need to know how to navigate within the software) Pipeflow and/or AutoPlant is a plus Pay Rate: $40 - 60/hr, dependent on experienceFor more information, please Apply and/or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidy at [email protected] Your RecruiterBeka Cassidy
