We are hiring a CNC Operator for 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM)! In this role, you'll run CNC machines to manufacture precision parts in a dynamic production setting. You will make sure components meet quality standards, maintain a clean and safe work area, and work closely with your team to drive improvements in processes and performance.As a locally established manufacturer with nearly 100 years of history, we take pride in offering a family-oriented workplace, engaging company events, and guaranteed time off on observed holidays.The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating both CNC and manual equipment in accordance with standard machining practices, producing parts that meet production and quality expectations, and documenting machining procedures for use in standard operating process guides. What You'll DoSet up CNC machines, install tooling, fixtures, and load raw material to begin production runs.Load and operate equipment, run CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers according to work orders and specifications.Monitor machine performance, observe machine operation and make adjustments or communicate issues as needed.Inspect parts, check finished components with precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to confirm quality.Read blueprints and instructions; interpret technical drawings to understand dimensions and machining requirements.Document production, record measurements, machine settings, and run results.Maintain safe work area, keep the workspace clean and follow safety protocols.Support team tasks, work with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot and improve processes.What We're Looking ForSome machining or CNC experience - You've worked with machines or in a shop environment and understand basic machine functions and operations, even if you're still learning.Blueprint reading and measuring skills - You can read technical drawings and use precision tools like calipers and micrometers to check dimensions and ensure quality.Strong attention to detail and reliability - You consistently focus on quality and accuracy, catching small errors before they become big issues.Willingness to learn and work as part of a team - You're open to feedback, enjoy collaborating with others, and contribute to a safe, productive shop environment.
