Senior Legal Counsel

Description Senior Legal Counsel provides direct support to human resources and management for all labor and employment legal matters. This position will report to the Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer.Responsibilities include: Provide strategic, practical, and prompt advice on labor and employment matters Provide advice and counsel for collective bargaining and labor agreement administration Manage response to claims of discrimination, harassment, including EEOC or other agency charges Provide advice and counsel to ensure compliance with labor and employment laws including anti-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, wage and hour matters, ADA, FMLA, and any other regulatory requirements Represent the Company in litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution Partner with legal and human resources colleagues to support Compliance and Ethics Program, including conducting internal investigations, as needed Support development of strategies and initiatives for the social and governance aspects of Inteva's sustainability goals Maintain and communicate record retention policy Develop and deliver training for human resources and supervisors on labor and employment law and compliance Draft and implement HR policies and procedures Draft employment agreements, non-compete agreements, and other legal agreements; and Effectively manage all costs associated with outside legal services and employment litigation Position Requirements 4-8 years' experience in labor and employment law Juris Doctorate and admission to Michigan bar Litigation experience required Compliance investigation experience preferred Experience in the automotive industry preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with other legal and business colleagues in fast-paced, global organization Demonstrated ability to identify, define and analyze problems, establish decision-making parameters, assess risks, recommend prompt, practical solutions, and influence stakeholders Education Requirement Juris Doctorate and admission to Michigan bar Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift -not applicable- Location Inteva Products, LLC - World Headquarters and Troy Technical Center Req Number LEG-26-00001 About the Organization Inteva Products is a leading global automotive supplier providing innovative, reliable, environmentally friendly products that enhance vehicle quality, safety and performance.
