Thank you for your interest in joining our team.Overview The Bar Back will work with the Bartenders and interact one-on-one with guests dining at the bar. Service will include assisting bartenders, polishing glassware, filling ice wells, stocking liquor bottles, preparing cocktail garnishes and juices. The Bar Back will also anticipate and monitoring guest's needs to ensure satisfaction. This includes presenting menus, greeting guests, offering water, and keeping all areas of the bar clean and immaculate. The Bar Back will maintain top-level product knowledge, knowing all aspects of the menu and beverage offerings.ResponsibilitiesMonitor with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc.Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs, or changing out kegs, if neededKeeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.Learning about menu items and memorizing cocktail recipesTaking orders, preparing drinks, bussing tables, opening tabs, and processing payments especially during peak hours.Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and orderAttend to customers upon entrancePresent restaurant menus and help customers select food/beveragesCollaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staffDeal with complaints or problems with a positive attitudeMaintain confidentiality of all members and Club informationFollows grooming and uniform standards established for this roleWorking as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workersEnsure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environmentAlways being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team membersPerforms all other duties as directed by immediateQualifications 2+ years of fine dining, high-volume restaurant experience, preferably bar support. Experience with set up and break down of bars.Hands-on experience in cashier dutiesAttention to cleanliness and safetyPatience and customer-oriented approachExcellent people skills with a friendly attitudeResponsible and trustworthyHigh school diploma is a plus but not requiredPunctuality and regular attendanceMust be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demandsMust have a positive attitude, be self-motivated
