HSP US in Charlotte will be the first U.S.-based manufacturing plant of Trench Group. Starting operations in early 2026 the plant will manufacture dry-type bushings (RIS/RIP) with voltages up to 800 kV for the North American market. It will feature full vertical integration and will house one of the most modern and high-performance high-voltage test laboratories in the region. Trench Group will invest more than $60 million in establishing a facility that will manufacture cutting-edge technology to support the expansion of the U.S. power grid infrastructure. Your MissionAs the Quality technician-( Chemical Lab Technician) (m/f/d), you will be responsible for defining and executing a best-in-class digitalization strategy across our global manufacturing network. You will drive the transformation towards fully integrated, state-of-the-art Manufacturing 4.0 operations, leveraging ERP, APS, MES, manufacturing applications, and advanced automation technologies.Your Tasks:Testing of In-process materials and chemicals from machines, production process etc.Sampling of materials and chemicals for sending out to External lab testingRelease of Materials, Chemicals, Parts for unrestricted use in SAP QA11,Testing, evaluation of new supplier chemicals, materials as per specifications and international standards.Supporting R&D activities in Chemical Lab by testing, evaluating, documenting and making reports on results as per requirements.Maintaining of Testing equipment's, inventory in Chemical lab in good condition, calibrations etc.Process Inspection of semi -finished products as per applicable Procedures.Perform Process audits, ISO System Audits, Verifying Quality check lists of process.Write non-conformance reports, making root cause analysis, 8D reports etc.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / ManagerTesting of Incoming Materials, chemicals as per the specifications and standards.Requirements:Familiarity with using Instron Universal testing machines, DSC (Differential Scanning calorimetry), Viscometers, analytical balances, is requiredAbility to analyze data and interpret data from the machines3-5 years' related experience in the Chemical lab as technician is required.Ability to use mechanical measuring instruments, micrometer, Vernier, tape measure, Height Gauge etc. is requiredAbility to understand and interpret international standards is requiredExperience using Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, Power Point is required.Familiarity with Non-conformance reporting, NCR Quality Notifications in SAP or equivalent.Strong written and oral communication skills is required.This role will require learning new methodologies related to Chemicals and Materials testing.Must demonstrate a safety and quality conscious approach while performing work dutiesAssociate degree or Diploma in Chemical Technology or laboratory technology equivalentWhy Join Us: Be part of a greenfield expansion that shapes the future of high-voltage energy transmission in North AmericaCollaborate with global experts from across the Trench Group and networkCompetitive compensation, benefits, and development opportunitiesContribute to sustainable infrastructure and innovation-driven solutions in the energy sectorOur Commitment Trench Group invites applications from all qualified individuals and is committed to fostering workplace diversity.
