Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a full-time, year-round Project Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Facilities and Auxiliary Services, the Project Manager will work closely with appropriate campus representatives, design professionals and construction managers in the planning, development and completion of major and minor construction projects throughout the college. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the programming, planning, design and construction for new construction, renovation, remodeling and maintenance projects for College facilities including site, utilities, building systems and ancillary plant infrastructure.Serves as liaison and is responsible for direction and implementation of assignments to design professional architects/ engineer, general contractors and construction management firms.Conducts reviews of facilities plans as prepared by design consultants, and oversees and manages the college's capital projects to assure compliance with applicable codes, College policies and procedures and college standardsResponsible for budget management and record keeping; personnel management if applicable; contract management and enforcement; project schedule, construction compliance with applicable codes, required inspections and the legal requirements for the construction of educational facilitiesServes on College committees as assigned including the selection committees for architectural/engineering, general contractors and construction management servicesMonitors expenditures of the capital budget for each project, and reviews and recommends payment of invoices, adherence to construction contracts, attends pre-bid, pre-construction, project design and construction meetingsPrepares status reports with initial estimates, directs and evaluates the performance of design consultants, contractors and construction managers through periodic inspections and directs daily supervisionEnsures completion of projects, from first request through close out, in accordance with established standards, schedules and budget parametersPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge and Skills Required: Knowledge of end-to-end project management, construction contracts management, budget management and preparation of change orders and drawings modificationKnowledge of project control and phasing of construction activities to avoid impact on College campus operational activitiesKnowledge of construction financial matters, including schedule of values and payment approvalKnowledge of applicable codes and construction quality control systems including inspectionsKnowledge of construction recordkeeping including final records retention methods, close out, punch-list and final completion requirementsKnowledge of technical application of state and federal building codes.Knowledge, including but not limited to: planning, design and construction of new and renovated higher education facilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office software applicable to area of responsibility, spreadsheets, computer aided design, and project scheduling programsPossess strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to work and communicate effectively with all constituents in a fast pace, high volume work areaPossess supervisory skills and be able to direct and secure the cooperation of the staff and construction personnelAbility to effectively present information to groups of administrators, managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, applicable codes or other governmental regulationsMinimum Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field and have 3-5 years of experience in higher education, institutional or commercial construction projects; or 5-7 years of experience in higher education, institutional or commercial construction projects.Successful candidates will be able to assist the college in advancing its Catholic identity and strategic priorities, which include institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness.
