Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated professional with expertise in non-linear static and dynamic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support the design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products. This role will focus on structural, thermomechanical, and heat transfer simulations while collaborating cross-functionally to drive robust, optimized designs from concept through production. For immediate consideration please click APPLY. Key Responsibilities Perform non-linear static and dynamic FEA using tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent CAE software. Develop and execute structural, thermomechanical, and heat transfer models to support product development. Conduct advanced multiphysics simulations, including fracture mechanics and material modeling. Model complex material behaviors including polymers, elastomers, soft adhesives, and brittle materials. Support design optimization through simulation-driven insights and trade-off studies. Correlate and validate simulation models through physical testing, calibration, and verification activities. Collaborate closely with mechanical design, materials, reliability, and manufacturing teams. Communicate simulation findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership. Work with external vendors to support testing and model validation as needed. Preferred Technical Experience Experience with fracture mechanics, adhesive material modeling, electromagnetic analysis, acoustics, and CFD. Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis and automation. Experience developing Abaqus user subroutines (UMAT/VUMAT or similar). Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. 3 years of hands-on FEA experience in a high-volume consumer electronics environment. Strong understanding of material modeling and multiphysics simulation. Experience with model calibration, verification, and validation using physical test data.
