Our worship reflects that mission-energetic, accessible, and deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition while engaging people in the language and culture of today.POSITION SUMMARY:New Roads is seeking a Worship Director to lead and continually strengthen our worship ministry across weekend Masses and other worship opportunities. This role is responsible for shaping meaningful, excellent, and engaging worship experiences; developing musicians and volunteers; and helping lead our community in prayer through modern Catholic worship.This position may be hired as full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's experience and whether technical/production responsibilities are included in the role. Work is to be done on-site at our parish offices in Belmont.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Worship Leadership & Musical DirectionProvide vision and leadership for worship at New Roads in alignment with our mission and valuesPlan and lead music for weekend Masses and special liturgiesCreate worship experiences that are prayerful, accessible, and engaging-especially for those who may be new or returning to churchMaintain and grow a contemporary worship repertoire that supports the message, reflects the liturgical season, and resonates with a modern congregationServe as lead vocalist and/or instrumentalist (guitar or keys) as neededTeam Development & DiscipleshipRecruit, audition, onboard, and develop volunteer and paid musiciansBuild healthy, life-giving worship teams rooted in collaboration, excellence, and spiritual growthLead rehearsals and provide ongoing coaching and feedbackCreate pathways for musicians to grow spiritually and musicallyCultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and joy within the worship ministryWorship Planning & CollaborationCollaborate closely with the pastoral team to plan services that align with teaching themes and liturgical seasonsPrepare music, charts, and resources in advance for rehearsals and servicesParticipate in weekly staff and planning meetingsContribute creatively to special services, series, and seasonal momentsProduction & Technology (may be full or partial depending on role structure)Oversee or collaborate on worship-related technology including:Audio systems (including Dante-based systems)Ableton Live and/or multitracksProPresenter or similar presentation softwareWork with staff and volunteers to ensure excellent sound, lighting, and livestream experiencesCoordinate with the Finance & Operations Manager on equipment needs, maintenance, and upgrades Note: For part-time candidates, #4 (technical production responsibilities) may be reduced or handled by a separate Audio/Production role. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Demonstrated experience leading contemporary Christian worshipStrong musical ability (vocals + guitar or keys preferred)Experience developing and leading musicians (paid + volunteer)Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-moving church environmentFamiliarity with Catholic liturgy strongly preferred (but openness and willingness to learn is essential)Experience with Ableton, multitracks, Dante, and modern worship tech strongly preferredStrong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage details, timelines, and multiple contributorsAbility to collaborate with clergy, staff, and volunteers in a team-based environmentComfortable providing leadership, direction, and feedback to musicians and volunteersAble to balance excellence with flexibility in a dynamic ministry settingBachelor's degree preferred but not requiredEnthusiasm for the mission and vision of New RoadsA heart for discipleship and a desire to help others grow in faithWillingness to support the mission of the Catholic ChurchPOSITION DETAILS:Reports To: PastorThis position may be hired as full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's experience and whether technical/production responsibilities are included in the roleRequired on-site Sundays: 7:30am-12:30pmWeekday schedule: flexible, coordinated with supervisor; some remote work possible; participate in weekly team meetingsRequired availability: Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas Eve & DayOccasional evenings or Saturdays for special events or meetingsTo apply, please email resume and cover letter to: jobs@ For more details, visit:
