We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization committed to strengthening our community through access, advocacy, and connection to essential services.~~~About This PositionWe are seeking a visionary, strategic, and community-focused Nonprofit President/CEO to lead 211 Broward. This executive leader will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the organization in alignment with policies established by the Board of Directors.The Nonprofit President/CEO will bring inspirational leadership, operational excellence, and fiscal stewardship to the agency while strengthening partnerships throughout Broward County and South Florida. This role requires a dynamic professional who can oversee helpline operations and program services, expand fundraising efforts, enhance public visibility, and ensure long-term organizational sustainability.The Nonprofit President/CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors through its Chair and serves as the primary ambassador of the organization within the community.We think the ideal we encourage you to apply.~~~Key ResponsibilitiesLeadershipProvide professional guidance and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding objectives, policies, and long-term planningEnsure the Board receives complete, accurate, and timely reports, including financial, audit, legal, and consultant updatesDevelop and strengthen collaborations and partnerships throughout Broward County and the South Florida regionPlan and coordinate Board meetings, ensuring effective materials, accurate minutes, and productive discussionsEncourage full participation and consensus-building among Board membersMaintain professional rapport and regular communication with individual Board membersKeep the Board informed of challenges, progress, and emerging community issuesFundraising and Public RelationsDevelop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies in consultation with the BoardLead and execute a comprehensive public relations programCultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors and community partnersOversee publications, press releases, reports, and external communicationsRepresent the organization at community meetings, civic events, and public forumsOversee signature events planned by staff and committeesActively seek speaking engagements and opportunities to advance the organization's missionLead the organization's government relations and public policy efforts, including advocacy, legislative engagement, and monitoring of relevant local, state, and federal issuesOrganizational ManagementImplement policies and directives adopted by the Board of DirectorsOversee hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, recognition, and compensation of staffDirect volunteer utilization and engagementEnsure appropriate use of professional advisors including auditors, legal counsel, and consultantsConduct regular staff meetings to establish work plans, set goals, and review progressMaintain complete and accurate organizational records and safeguard data integrityEnsure compliance with contractual and funder requirementsOversee agency property, asset management, maintenance, and securityDevelop and manage the administrative and program budgetsSuccessfully complete the 211 Broward Helpline training programGrants and Community InitiativesMaintain awareness of Broward County community needs related to the agency's missionCommunicate grant-making processes and procedures to the public and stakeholdersAdminister grant-making functions under the direction of the BoardProactively pursue partnerships with private and corporate foundationsSeek and manage grants, contracts, charitable gifts, and bequests to support operational and emerging community needs~~~RequirementsFive (5) years of management experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience requiredMaster's degree preferredDemonstrated experience developing and implementing fundraising and public relations programsExperience working with a large Board of DirectorsStrong grant-writing and grant management experienceExperience managing foundation and government grants and contractsExperience developing and managing agency budgetsKnowledge of nonprofit accounting and financial practicesKnowledge of human resource laws and practicesKnowledge of strategic and program planning and evaluation processesKnowledge of available community resources in Broward CountyDemonstrated computer proficiencyAbility to maintain confidentiality of agency and client informationAbility to complete accurate reports in accordance with agency and funder guidelinesStrong organizational skills and ability to maximize time and coordinate resourcesProfessional demeanor and presentation at all timesAbility to transport oneself for agency
