Lead high-value T&D projects (69-500kV)Long-term Denver contract with extension potentialAbout Our ClientWe are seeking a Project Manager - T&D to oversee high-value transmission and distribution projects across the Western U.S. This role manages projects from planning through construction, including 69kV to 500kV transmission lines, distribution feeders, substations, and renewable interconnection projects.This organization is a large organization operating within the business services industry. They specialize in energy and natural resources projects, providing expert solutions to clients and supporting sustainable development initiatives.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesManage T&D capital projects from scope definition to closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plansLead coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teamsMonitor project performance and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with NESC, utility standards, and regulatory requirementsInterface with clients, contractors, and subcontractorsPrepare progress reports, risk assessments, and executive-level updatesSupport permitting, environmental, and safety complianceManage project documentation through systems like ProjectWise or ProcoreProjects This Role Will LeadNew 230kV-500kV greenfield transmission line builds138kV and 230kV line rebuilds and reconductoringDistribution feeder construction and upgrades in urban and rural areasSubstation expansions and tap-ins to support system growthRenewable energy interconnection projects for solar and wind farmsWildfire mitigation and system hardening initiativesUtility modernization and grid reliability projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantA successful Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution should have:Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution systems within the energy and natural resources sector.Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.A commitment to maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.Relevant education or certifications in project management or a related field.What's on OfferHourly pay between $80 and $110, based on experience and qualifications.Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field5-10+ years project management experience in T&DPMP certification preferredPE license is a plusAbility to travel 10-20% for site visits and client meetingsContactLauren JustQuote job refJN-032026-6963152
