DSP Engineer

As a DSP Engineer, you will get an exciting opportunity to work in the growing IT Security field in support of National Defense. The products you will touch will be deployed into larger systems and/or deployments to facilitate secure communications for our military in the modern cyber warfare environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced signal processing algorithms. Your work will include designing waveforms and signal detection/demodulation methods for RF communications systems based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies.The position is based in Germantown, MD.YOUR WORK AT MAXTENA WILL INCLUDE:A thorough knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts including RF Comms, Synchronization, and high-speed ADC and DAC systemsExperience implementing DSP algorithms in hardware including: - Algorithm prototyping in MATLAB or similar language - Determining precision and dynamic range Algorithm validation using hardware co-simulation or C/C++ bit true modeling FPGA or ASIC implementation in Verilog or VHDLA demonstrated ability to support a project through all aspects of the design phase including system architecture, algorithm exploration and trade studies, design reviews, implementation, lab verification, and delivery REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearanceS. in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, MSE preferred 10+ years of related development experienceMentoring and providing oversight of DSP Engineers and/or implementation team Clear written and verbal communication skills are required to support design team and customer meetingsStrong multitasking and time management abilitiesProficient in spoken and written EnglishExcellent oral and written communication skillADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:Desired experience in: Image processing Software Defined Radio Channelization/ Reconstruction Array processing Radar, Artificial Intelligence, Beamforming Active TS security clearance is a plusPERKS OF WORKING AT MAXTENA:Developing innovative, meaningful products from scratchA dynamic, innovative, and productive workplaceCutting-edge technology & high-tech labContinuous career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensation packageMedical, Dental, Vision & Life InsuranceTuition ReimbursementPaid Parental Leave401K matchFlextimeFun & games events Coffee, sweets, & much more...Maxtena is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
