Plan, develop, articulate and supervise instructional-level programs administered by the Cooperative under the delegated authority from the Executive Director. This position has other District-wide responsibilities in addition to the management of the programming within Pioneer Grove. These items may include state assessment management, ESY coordination and hiring, leadership related to safety and crisis management, etc. Supervises Directly: Teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff directly assigned to the Pioneer Grove Educational Center, as well as staff assigned by the Executive Director.Terms of Employment: 12-month contract position (July 1 to June 30). Potential to start prior to July 1, 2026, to allow for a transition. 8 hours daily, exempt status.Evaluation: This position will be evaluated annually by the Executive Director or the Executive Director's Designee. Specific Responsibilities:1. Provide continuing supervision of special services instructional staff in the activities listed below:Employment of staffEvaluation of teaching performancePlacement of studentsDevelopment of curriculumProgram planning and monitoring of the operation of special services programs according to federal and state law, Illinois School Code, and district policies and proceduresProgram budgeting and budget monitoring 2. Develop plans for program implementation in the following special services areas:Educational programming for students with multi-needs and autism aged EC-22Special early childhood programsSpecial transition programs3. Act as a liaison between schools, home, community, public and private agenciesAttend and facilitate multi-disciplinary staffing meetingsMeet on a regular basis with staff to insure program efficiency and consistencyDevelop and implement a program of professional growth activities designed to improve and expand the competencies of the instructional and support staffDevelop and implement in-service training programsDefine, establish and modify procedures for the operation of Pioneer Grove programmingSubmit periodic reviews of programs to the Executive DirectorAttend all Administrators' Meetings, Directors' Meetings, and Governing Board MeetingsCoordinate building administrative dutiesOpen and close building daily and for extra-curricular functionsTake charge of emergencies: illness, accident, weather, disaster (drills), other crisesParticipate in the intake process of studentsDevelop initial program budget projections and monitor monthly budget reportsReview monthly enrollment information for accurate billingSchedule annual reviews in cooperation with all LEA RepresentativesNotify parents, teachers, LEA Representatives and all related staff of specific annual reviewsChair all annual reviews insuring appropriate IEPs are developedFollow up recommendations by processing all necessary formsComplete student rosters for coming yearMonitor the development and management of all Individual Education Plans for each studentMonitor the logging of services including Medicaid claiming for assigned staffMaintain and disseminate current information regarding rules, regulations and legislation related to students with specialized needsCoordinate staff efforts to maintain guidelines in the programsServe as the representative for the Cooperative at Infinitec meetingsESY Supervision for Pioneer Grove Educational Center and other servicesOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive DirectorSalary: Range $85,000 - $110,000Benefit Information:
