We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator who will support the proper intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our care. The role of an early childhood educator (ECE) entails caring for, educating, and developing young children from birth to ten years of age.Some key responsibilities are:• Planning and Implementing Activities:o Developing and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum in which different developmental areas are addressed (cognitive, social, emotional).o Planning and facilitating group activitieso Creating a stimulating, engaging environment for learning.• Supervision and Care:• Making sure that children are always safe and well-cared for through direct supervision.• Aiding in basic care, such as feeding, changing diapers, and maintaining hygiene.• Keeping track of children's health, behavior, and emotional well-being, and reporting any concerns to their parents or guardians.• Communication and Collaboration:o Maintaining open and regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.o Collaborating with other teachers, staff, and parents to create a supportive and cohesive learning environment.• Child Development Knowledge:o Creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences by understanding child development principles.o Identifying and addressing the interests and needs of each child.o Developing children's social skills and promoting positive interactions.• Classroom Management:o Assuring a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.o Promoting positive behavior and learning in the classroom through classroom management strategies.• Other Duties:o Assisting with record-keeping and reporting on children's progress.o Attending parent-teacher and staff meetings.o Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.Required Skills and Qualifications:• First Aid and CPR certification. (Can be obtained upon hire)• Must have a clean background check• A high school diploma or GED• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or other relevant certification. (Can be obtained upon hire).
