It is an unpaid internship, but the knowledge you will receive is invaluable! Position Overview: The Apparel Accessories Product Development and Tech Design intern will assist with the day-to-day operations in our office. This position is for motivated individuals who are hands-on when it comes to work. This will be a great opportunity to learn about multiple areas in the fashion accessory industry. We will work together to build skills to help with your future career goals. Responsibilities May Include:Assist with FedEx distribution and sendingSample room organizationReview samples and lab dips with supervisor for color approvalFile and organize lab dips and component approvalsMeasure and evaluate samples at various development stagesTarget costing and analyzingBecome familiar with a product development calendarNavigate PLM dailyPackaging review and approvalsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliar with either or both Windows or Mac computer.Familiar with MS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or Mac Software.Familiar with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator & PhotoshopAttention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills with a sense of urgency for deadlinesExcellent written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skillsAbility to recognize and react to changing work demandsAbility to be flexible and show initiative in a change-oriented companyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentEducation/ExperienceCurrently pursuing a college/university degree in Product Development or Tech Design or a recent graduate of a Product Development or Tech Design program. Completion of relevant coursework and participation in volunteer activities will be considered strong assets.
