Support students with moderate to severe behavioral and autism-related needs as a paraprofessional for an Extended School Year (ESY) program in Bucks County, PA. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to individualized educational experiences across multiple school locations, with a schedule focused Monday through Thursday in summer 2026. Locations include Fallsington Elementary, Cecilia Snyder Middle School, Strayer Middle School, Samuel Everitt School, and Pearl Buck Elementary. Assignments are based on student needs and your proximity to the schools (within 35 minutes commute), with efforts made to honor location and classroom grade preferences. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct support to students utilizing ABA interventions and behavioral strategies Assist with toileting, physical prompting, and behavior management including handling challenging behaviors (e.g., hitting, eloping) Collaborate with classroom staff to implement individualized plans Participate in orientation and training prior to ESY start, ensuring readiness for instruction dates Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience as a paraprofessional working with moderate-severe behavioral or autism-related student needs Meet at least one PA paraprofessional credential requirement (48 college credits, associate degree or higher, Credential of Competency, or CDA) If not currently credentialed, willingness to complete a 7-module certification program and submit credential application within 60 days Reliable transportation and reside within 35 minutes of the assigned school site Ability to commit to the full ESY schedule (June 24 - July 30, 2026, Monday-Thursday) Additional Details: Paraeducator orientation dates: June 24-25, 2026, from 8:45am to 2:45pm Student instructional days: June 29 to July 30, 2026 Paraeducator work hours: 8:45am to 2:45pm Candidates with prior agency placement within the last year are not eligible This role requires dedication to creating positive, supportive learning environments for students with complex needs.
