Our Brand New Westin is seeking a motivated and energized Banquet Captain who will be responsible for planning dining events, manage F&B service, and tend to guests requests and complaints. We offer an array of benefits for all employees, based on eligibility, to include: * Paid Vacation * Holiday Pay * Access to a fully vested 401K program * BCBS Health Insurance * Dental and Vision Coverage * Hotel Room Discounts Job Duties: * Ensuring that all food and beverage items are presented and server correctly and noting any special requests & instructions, se out on the BEOs. * Communicating with the culinary chef and catering manager any changes in the schedule of service, challenges or adverse comments that may arise during the event. * Ensure that staff members return all equipment to the storage areas, and confirm the room is left clean and tidy. * Supervise all banquet staff members assigned to event * Responsible for preparing room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guests arrival and reviewing and implementing table and seating diagrams. * Follow all health and safety regulations. * Assist with all reasonable bar back duties as required. Job Requirements * Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed. * Outstanding customer service skills required. * Must be flexible and have reliable transportation. * Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary up to 50 lbs. * Requires bending, lifting, standing, squatting for long periods. * Good communication skills and be able to multi-task. * Previous banquet experience preferred. * Previous hotel experience a plus. * Clean Background Check
