Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer Location: Houston, TX 70112 Duration: 6 Months Contract Job Description: Client has a position available for an early career Civil/Structural Engineer to support our growing Energy practice Engineering Center of Excellence. For this role, client offers the freedom and flexibility to work in a hybrid office/remote setting and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States. Responsibilities: Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineers Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until the completion of construction Evaluate and apply applicable building code requirements and design code requirements (e.g. IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) Travel to project site and meetings as needed. Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems including building 3D analytical structural models Assist with productions of drawing and documents Develop technical specifications, plans, and details Must Have: Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET accredited college or university 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications EIT certification Demonstrated experience of structural steel design and reinforced concrete design Demonstrated experience with design/building codes such as the AISC Manual of Steel Construction, ACI 318, International Building Code, and ASCE 7 (Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures). Knowledge and experience with computer productivity software such as Client Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Demonstrated experience to structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro Basic knowledge and skill with AutoCAD software Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
