This role administers core infrastructure (servers, virtualization, cloud platforms) and enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, and secure connectivity) to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing IT systems for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructureConfigure and support virtualization platforms and virtual Windows systemsTroubleshoot and execute preventative, performative, and corrective maintenance on hypervisor components and connected storageFamiliarity with Microsoft operating systems, Azure cloud services, solutions, licensing, and how they work togetherAssist in managing hybrid cloud resources in Microsoft Azure including compute, storage, backups, and performanceCollaborate with internal departments to translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure systemsProvide tier 2/3 support and escalate complex issues as neededNetworkingSupport on-premise LAN/WAN, wireless, and ISP connectivityAssist with routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall configurations across office, WFH, SaaS applications, and segmented cloud hosting providersTroubleshoot and perform preventative, performative, and corrective maintenance on networking devicesOptimization of firewall IDS, anti-malware, NAT, and connectivity rule configurationConfigure and tune network and system security alertsSecurity & OperationsAssist in managing Active Directory including object management and configuration through GPOAssist in managing Azure Entra ID including object management and configuration through InTuneSchedule and apply 3rd party security patches and operating system updatesImplement and manage identity protection controls such as password policies, MFA, and conditional access policiesImplement and manage data security controls such as access control lists and automated group/application assignmentsHarden new systems to reduce vulnerabilities and likelihood for inappropriate accessMonitor, respond, and remediate infrastructure and network security eventsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure and/or network engineeringStrong technical knowledge of virtualization, Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud environmentsUnderstanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs)Proactive approach to infrastructure optimization and process automationStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExperience supporting a mid-sized enterprise (100-500 users)Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related field from four-year college or universityAzure, Windows, CCNP, or applicable product-centric certificationsFamiliarity with PCI DSS compliance and common security frameworksExperience with SharePoint and Exchange OnlineExperience with certificate management and encryptionExperience working in a centralized IT and information security departmentCompensation And BenefitsEmployer paid benefits (including Medical, Dental, Vision, & life insurance) for selected plans for the employee.Retirement 401(k) plan with company matchGym access, dry cleaners, car wash conveniently located within building.Generous PTO plan with an additional 9 Days Company Paid Holidays per year.Job Type: Full-timeThe Company is committed to compliance with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities.
