Their duties include taking attendance, explaining homework, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and reinforcing school-wide discipline procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Punctual and adhere to the classroom scheduleMaintain order in the classroomFollow teacher's lesson plans in sequence and fulfill all of the responsibilities as stated.Supervise the students assigned to the regular classroom teacher at all times.Be available to fill in during open planning times for other teachersMinimum of 5 assignments within a six month period or employment EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: Colorado Substitute Teaching Authorization (three or five years) or a Colorado teaching license.One year substitute authorizations will be considered on a case by case basis4 year degree for non-licensed candidatesFingerprints and Background Checks will be required for non-licensedExperience in working with school age children preferred. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS: Criminal background check required for hire.
