Material Specialist I

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full-time Material Specialist I in Port Hueneme, CA. Job Summary: This role is responsible for managing and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies to ensure that production and shipping schedules are met efficiently and accurately. Duties and Responsibilities: * Material Flow and Coordination Directs and expedites the movement of materials between departments in accordance with production schedules and supervisor priorities. * Arranges for the in-plant transfer and transportation of materials to meet production demands. * Production Planning and Scheduling Reviews production schedules and consults with department supervisors to determine material requirements, identify overdue items, and locate necessary parts. * Establishes delivery sequences based on job priorities and material availability. * Inventory and Records Management Compiles and maintains reports on the quantity and type of materials on hand. * Utilizes manual or computerized systems to keep perpetual production records, track material in process, and maintain other relevant employee or process records. * Material Verification and Control Examines materials delivered to production departments to verify they are the correct type and meet specified configurations. * Monitors and controls the movement of parts and materials, potentially using control panels or other systems. * Procurement and Systems Expertise Leverages expertise in material management procedures to review supply transactions and ensure requirements are met. * Tracks program assets, manages material procurements, and uses government inventory programs to ensure material is received, accurately recorded, and available to meet schedules. * Material Handling and Transport Physically moves or transports materials from one department to another using hand trucks or industrial vehicles as required. * Manages the receipt, control, and staging of support items. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Two (2) years' experience in material handling experience. * Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. * Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen * Must possess a valid driver's license Pay Range: * The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. ADA Notations: * Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise * Job may require bending, stooping, lifting, and will be in an environment of low and high temperatures. * Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lbs. in weight. * Ability to travel up and down stairs and ladders.
