Sheet Metal Mechanics and Foreman

We are currently hiring for sheet metal mechanics and foreman in Newport News, VA. The ideal sheet metal mechanic has 5+ years of experience and the ideal foreman has 2+ years of experience leading a crew of 5 or more. A sheet metal foreman should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as extensive knowledge of sheet metal. Sheet Metal Mechanics Foreman Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all sheet metal fabrication and installationSupervisor and direct sheet metal mechanics to ensure adherence to safety protocols, timely completion of work, and maintenance of high-quality standardsRead, interpret, and ensure compliance with blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsPlan and prioritize work to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budgetEnsure quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and installation processesCoordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients regarding project progress and issuesTroubleshoot on-site issues related to sheet metal systems and resolve problems efficientlyOversee the measuring, cutting, bending, and forming of metal components to exact specificationsSupervise the installation of sheet metal components, including fittings, ducts, and other systems.Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project specificationsMaintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidentsProvide guidance and training to team members to improve skills and safety awarenessSheet Metal Mechanics Foreman Qualifications:5+ years experienceExperience supervising a crew of 5+ (foreman)Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequentlyAbility to lift and carry 50lbsAbility to pass drug and background checkYour own reliable transportationBenefits:Weekly payReferral programMedical, dental, vision insurancePaid time off and holiday pay401k
